Innovative Recognition: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj’s SVAMITVA Scheme has secured the Best Innovation Award for its presentation in the Innovation Sandbox during Public Policy Dialogues–2024 at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Digital Transformation Initiatives: The Ministry highlighted the “Digital Transformation Initiatives in Land Governance through SVAMITVA Scheme” during the presentation. The scheme, a Central Sector Scheme, employs drone surveys and GIS mapping for accurate land demarcation, leading to transparent and efficient land administration.

Awards and Acknowledgments: This is not the first recognition for SVAMITVA; it previously won the Gold Prize in National Awards for e-Governance 2023 and a Gold award at Digitech Conclave 2023 for its innovative use of technology.

Empowering Rural Communities: SVAMITVA has significantly contributed to empowering rural communities by reducing land disputes, providing property records, enabling monetization, and facilitating bank loans and village-level planning.

Progress Highlights: The scheme has completed drone surveys in 2.90 lakh villages and generated 1.66 crore property cards for 1.06 lakh villages, achieving full coverage in various regions.
